Creative techniques to help promote wellness, sense of self, and quality of life for older adults, individuals living with dementia, and their care partners.

My training sessions explore how specific therapeutic movement, sensory, and creative techniques offer opportunities to help promote wellness, sense of self, and quality of life for older adults, individuals living with dementia, and their care partners. Participants are guided through some movement sequences, as well as introduced to sensory items and practical tools that may be used therapeutically within the care partner relationship to decrease stressful interactions and improve overall connection. These interactive sessions may be held with both formal and informal care partners in various types of settings and environments to meet your specific needs.

Training topic examples include:

  • SenseAble and practical techniques to help engage and connect
  • Creative and sensory engagement strategies
  • Self-care strategies
